Perform complex landscaping tasks; related work as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of the eight grade One year experience in landscaping work Possession of a valid California driver's license and driving record that assures insurability by district’s carrier RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain district facilities landscaping Assist in moving and/or repairing District athletic and play equipment Assist in maintaining asphalt areas Prepare, mark, and maintain district athletic fields Repair and install district fencing Mow and edge lawn areas Rake and pick up leaves Prepare soils for planting Remove and control weeds Operate motorized equipment Care for and adjust tools and equipment used in School District landscaping Learn and apply safety procedures related to landscape maintenance Learn and utilize regulation field markings for various athletic activities Communicate clearly and in detail Work effectively and maintain cooperative relationship with all staff, students, and the public
