Overview
Reporting to the VP, Strategic Partnerships, this role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and revenue generation. The Senior Director will architect the roadmap for MarTech alliances, leveraging industry insights and market trends to cultivate productive, innovative, and mutually beneficial relationships with key partners. This role requires an entrepreneurial approach to market expansion and the ability to translate strategic vision into actionable business plans. The goal is to establish and grow Acxiom’s business in the MarTech partnerships ecosystem, with primary focus on growing a business for Acxiom in MarTech partner ecosystems and identifying opportunities with MarTech strategic partners. The role will be accountable for implementing and growing Acxiom’s partner strategy with MarTech key Partners: creating the business plan, defining cross-functional initiatives, and meeting targets for partnerships including revenue, pipeline creation, partnership tiers, health, and strategic objectives. It involves significant cross-functional leadership with Acxiom teams (sales, product, engineering, delivery) and partner teams (field sales and partnership orgs). It is an individual contributor role but has potential to grow a team as the business expands. Responsibilities
Business Development: Implement and grow Acxiom’s vision and value proposition in the MarTech ecosystem; develop client-facing sales materials for partnership offerings including sales decks and partner marketing materials; build pipeline of opportunities and lead new business opportunities through the sales process in collaboration with Acxiom Sales, Sales Enablement, and partner Sales teams; monitor and manage performance metrics across the partnership portfolio.
Partner Management: Set and execute strategy for selling to and marketing with the partner’s sales and alliance organization to build Acxiom’s brand; plan and execute relationship development; drive account alignment strategies with partners for high-potential targets; lead engagement in partner alliance programs (market development funds, certifications, co-marketing, joint solutions, etc.).
Financial & Contract Management: Maintain pipeline in Salesforce with support of Sales Operations; manage contracting and related paperwork (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs) with support from Sales Operations.
Client Management – Sales & Account Management: Align with client and new logo sales teams to pursue upsell/growth of MarTech services within existing accounts and net-new opportunities; coordinate with cross-agency leadership for joint offerings and escalate sales engagement issues as needed.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in marketing tech, data, digital, or marketing services industries
7+ years of experience in customer/partnership management
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college/university
Demonstrated success in building and nurturing win-win alliance relationships
High level technical knowledge related to MarTech and MarTech solutions
Ability to create new and creative partnership solutions and joint value propositions
Strong networking and influence management skills that translate into building commitment and driving actions across organizational boundaries
Ability to present to senior level executives as well as run and facilitate strategic working sessions
Highly credible communicator with excellent organization and project management skills and a track record of delivering results
