Jacobs . We are seeking an experienced plumbing engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and deliver innovative plumbing design solutions for heavy industrial clients.
Base pay range $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr

Our Advanced Manufacturing Group elevates clients by delivering cost‑effective and transformative projects to specialty chemical, electric vehicle, manufacturing, metals, pulp and paper markets. We are looking for a high‑energy plumbing engineer to perform field investigations, interface with clients & vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages.
Responsibilities
Development of the design criteria for the plumbing systems.
Layout and design of plumbing systems including sanitary sewer, process sewer, potable water, hot water, natural gas, and roof drainage.
Development of final design documents including specifications associated with these systems.
Coordination with other disciplines.
Qualifications
Professional Engineering License.
At least eight (8) years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems.
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of plumbing systems.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Ability to follow lead a building mechanical team on a project and to collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.
Preferred Experience
Software experience in Revit.
Experience in the design of utility piping system design.
