Plumbing Engineer – Building Mechanical Team
Base pay range:
$102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr
Location:
United States – candidates can work from any U.S. location. Ideally near a Jacobs office.

Responsibilities
Perform field investigations and interface with clients and vendors.
Size and select plumbing equipment.
Prepare construction design packages for plumbing systems.
Develop design criteria for plumbing systems.
Layout and detail design of sanitary sewer, process sewer, potable water, hot water, natural gas, and roof drainage.
Develop final design documents and specifications.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
Ensure technical quality and schedule performance of engineering tasks.
Qualifications
Professional Engineering License.
At least 8 years of experience in plumbing system design.
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to plumbing design.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong adaptability to fast‑paced team environments and multiple deadlines.
Ability to lead plumbing design and collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Revit experience.
Experience in utility piping system design.
