Responsibilities

Develop channel partners who will effectively cover all market segments within geography and increase Marvin’s market share.

Implement strategic sales plans; develop territory budget and sales forecasts.

Develop channel partner sales team and pro trade contractors through various training, including market segment focus, sales support, technological interface tools, sales training, and product knowledge training.

Regularly analyze current channel partners and create plans to grow market share, either within our existing dealer base or by determining other and better ways to go to market.

Work with key contacts such as dealers, builders, general contractors, architects, and remodelers to effectively provide clear and valuable communication on projects, services, and market offerings for Marvin.

Assist the Regional Manager in the development and implementation of regional sales plans and meetings.

Engage at a leadership level within local, regional, or national trade associations to develop relationships and create brand awareness and loyalty.

Actively develop and lead key training opportunities, including providing presentations as a subject‑matter expert at training events, developing training presentations and formats for unique regional requirements, leading new initiatives and product launches, and conducting educational presentations at national/regional trade events.

Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for open sales positions; mentor and train new Territory Managers (development plan of 6‑12 months); provide temporary management responsibilities to fill in for the Regional Manager.

Participate in cross‑functional teams or planning teams and take a leadership role on various team assignments.

Lead the annual business planning and review process with channel partners to ensure results‑oriented business plans.

Manage the job role’s expense budget.

Regularly communicate strategic and tactical information to sales leadership regarding competitors in the assigned territory and region.

Promote and coordinate factory tours and training held at the corporate flagship location.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

6+ years of premium building products experience in a dealer‑direct territory‑based outside sales environment.

Prior experience leading or mentoring others required.

Previous experience in the fenestration or premium building material industry preferred.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable accident and moving‑violation record.

Willing/able to frequently travel within the designated territory, including some overnight stays.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.

Proficiency with required technology, software applications, and a CRM platform (Salesforce.com).

Compensation: Total earning potential is $105,000‑$150,000 including base salary and monthly sales incentives, although there is no cap on incentive earnings.
