The Event Architect will lead the development and event design of Microsoft’s end-to-end commercial event strategy framework for Developer Events. We are currently hiring for two Event Architects. This strategic role ensures that all event initiatives are aligned with business goals, audience needs, and measurable outcomes. This person will be a visionary strategist and operational resource who can unify cross-functional teams and elevate Microsoft’s brand through world-class event experiences.

Responsibilities

Strategic Framework Ownership: Develop a comprehensive event strategy framework that aligns with Microsoft’s commercial business priorities and positions the company as an industry leader.

Goal & Audience Alignment: Translate business objectives into event goals and experiences, ensuring alignment with audience segmentation, customer journey stages, and integrated marketing plans.

Measurement & Success Metrics: Define clear success metrics, timelines, and evaluation frameworks to measure impact across awareness, engagement, demand generation, and business outcomes. Deliver learning and insights from each event that fuel improvements and impact.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Foster collaboration, lead event design and stakeholder alignment with working teams, integrated marketing, commercial solution areas, and extended internal teams, ensuring consistent communication, governance, and decision-making across the event portfolio.

Portfolio Integration: Ensure event’s alignment into broader commercial event portfolio strategy. Architect a multifaceted event design that integrates multiple sockets and key moments of an in-person and digital experience.

Operational Excellence: Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment and clarity among working teams, flawless execution, scalable operations, and continuous improvement across all event formats and regions.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in event strategy, integrated marketing, or experience designing within a global enterprise or tech environment

3+ years experience designing large-scale projects and driving measurable business outcomes.

3+ years experience in audience segmentation, measurement frameworks, and event Return on Investment (ROI)

Experience working successfully cross functionally.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, Performing Arts, or related field AND 10+ years experience in event strategy, integrated marketing, or experience designing within a global enterprise or tech environment

8+ years marketing experience in a large multinational organization or creative/media agency.

Experience with Microsoft’s commercial business, key audiences, product portfolio, and partner ecosystem

Experience with digital platforms, hybrid event models, and media production

Experience working with or marketing to developer audiences.

Events IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
