Understanding Microsoft’s eCommerce and web business programs, objectives, and technology needs in depth. Translating business needs to a capability roadmap and working with business stakeholders to define and prioritize business requirements. Analyzing relevant data to assist in defining business requirements and prioritizing features with the highest impact. Ensuring proper tagging and instrumentation is implemented across the eCommerce customer journey and data is available to analytics teams. Ensuring integration between web initiatives and Microsoft’s MarTech (marketing technology), including standard data flow and taxonomies. Ensuring new capabilities have the appropriate support or operational processes in place to operate over time and appropriate analytics or reporting to measure impact. Owning project management, communications, timelines, and dependencies to deliver new functionality. Maintaining a clear backlog to assist in tracking project status and prioritization. Preparing and delivering executive updates about the status of new capability delivery as part of ongoing business performance reviews. Embodying our culture and values. Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years of marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience OR equivalent experience. 5+ years experience with MarTech platforms, their application to eCommerce scenarios (upsell, cross‑sell, guided buying, lead qualification) and attribution/measurement. Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years of marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years of marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience OR equivalent experience. 6+ years technology/process improvement experience. Expertise in MarTech platforms (journey orchestration, customer data platform (CDP), email service provider (ESP)/marketing automation) and event/real‑time integrations. Deep expertise in web analytics. Ability to translate business objectives into a technology roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders. Ability to communicate hard, complex, nuanced problems in a way that people who are not close to them can understand. Ability to partner closely with teams and stakeholders to make sure they feel heard and understood. Ability to find win‑win outcomes for everyone even when there are conflicting priorities within and outside the team. Ability to run and support prioritization process that creates clarity for stakeholders on what will happen, and what will not happen. Track record of meeting timelines, and honoring commitments with ability to adjust the plan and bring stakeholders along if things change. Comfortable operating in a very complex and dynamic environment both as a participant or leader depending on the need. Marketing Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
