Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer safeguards facility assets and ensures the accuracy of financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP. The CFO leads financial compliance and internal controls, participates in strategic planning, and interacts regularly with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.

Candidate Experience & Attributes and Education Requirements

At least ten years of progressive financial experience in healthcare, covering general accounting, operations, financial systems, statement preparation, review, and multi‑discipline management.

Excellent organizational skills capable of prioritizing workload and managing all financial activities under pressure.

Ability to translate complex financial, operational, and compliance issues into clear terms for all organizational levels.

Track record of facility finance decisions that improve financial performance.

Experience negotiating managed care contracts and supervising contract negotiations.

Substantial financial management experience, including financial operations, strategic and financial planning, contracts, reimbursement, budgeting, and capital financing in a complex environment.

Strong understanding of healthcare trends and anticipation of opportunities.

Successful experience as a Chief Financial Officer in a highly competitive market.

Education, Certifications, and Vaccination Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required. MBA, MHA, CPA strongly preferred.

Tenet complies with federal, state, and local laws regarding mandatory vaccination. Proof of full vaccination or a religious or medical exemption must be shown prior to start date. Employees with an exemption will undergo regular testing in accordance with the law.

Functional Expectations & Requirements

Monitor financial risk, establish mitigation plans, and communicate risks and opportunities to the Group CFO and Facility CEO.

Oversee revenue cycle processes, including rate setting, charge capture, managed care negotiations, and cash collections.

Evaluate and manage capital project investments, applying unbiased scrutiny to determine ROI and managing capital spend in line with cash flow projections.

Analyze daily operating results to ensure revenues, expenses, and labor are within budgeted objectives.

Establish and maintain sound financial controls and record keeping; approve expenditures up to the level established by the CEO.

Keep abreast of government regulatory requirements and rapidly changing reimbursement environment to develop and implement policy changes.

Interface with Human Resources and other departments to prepare workforce plans and salary and benefit proposals.

Prepare financial forecasts and monitor performance versus budget; consolidate results, prepare rolling 90‑day forecasts, and develop and implement cash management controls.

Coordinate with senior leadership to develop major strategic and financial plans, including capital expenditure programs.

Direct the development and implementation of new financial systems, policies, and procedures as required.

Assist in the development of new businesses by analyzing feasibility of new programs and advised management of financial prospects.

Attend promptly to administrative details, including signing documents, preparation of reports, and performance appraisals.
