As an Applications Engineer, you will support trials, programming improvements, and software activity using LASER processing, EDM, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Responsibilities
Provide insights and support to the global technology center to generate next‑generation products. Collaborate with business development to execute customer application trials for LASER and EDM technologies. Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production, coordinating design, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing. Develop machine tools and processes using LASER ablation, drilling, welding, and EDM. Research and recommend automation improvements for advanced manufacturing based on trial outcomes. Advise on trials and programming improvements through software and application modifications. Support manufacturing engineering for internal and external customers. Design, develop, and deliver training on tools and equipment. Provide sales support, conduct customer visits, handle inquiries, and demonstrate technology to drive sales. Create and maintain documentation translating complex technical information into user‑friendly content for application development. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Computer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent. Three (3) years of experience with LASER processing (ablation, micromachining, welding, cutting, drilling). Three (3) years of on‑site customer support experience. U.S. citizen or Green Card holder; able to complete background clearance, drug and alcohol testing. Project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and deliver tasks under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, D365). Travel up to 75% of the time domestically and internationally; primary travel within the U.S. Familiarity with PLC and HMI software; experience in industrial automation/manufacturing environment. Proven project management/planing experience; competence in NX or other CAD/CAM packages. Benefits
