Overview
This position will plan, organize, direct, integrate, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of clinical health services in a 3-county public health district. The position is responsible for public health programs related to Adult Health, Child Health, Immunizations, International Travel Health, Outreach, Medical Records, Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention, Dental Services, and Pharmacy and Laboratory Services. The position directs and supports the work of nurse practitioners, nurses, and business support staff. The position is responsible for management of budgets, standard operating procedures, and nurse protocols. The preferred candidate must possess strong leadership and management skills related to effective business processes as well as high-quality clinical practices, be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia, and have public health experience. Directs Public Health nursing in accordance with nursing protocols and standard operating procedures. Implements policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines for the program. Guides clinical staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and care provision. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Travel as needed to direct, train, and support staff at all clinics within the Health District and assist with clinical operations. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, four (4) years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or position equivalent, two (2) years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, six (6) years of which as a supervisor and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Preferred
Five years of experience in clinical service provision in local level Public Health in Georgia. Two or more years of experience in managing Public Health clinical service delivery. Experience in program and budget management. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Public Administration, Public Policy or related field.
