Hourly Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner

Primary assignments will be with our
mobile health unit
in Gwinnett County, with occasional coverage in Newton and Rockdale counties. Some clinic-based work will also be required. The position will be housed out of the Lawrenceville District Office and the Norcross Health Center. The ideal candidate for this role will be open to flexible scheduling to help best meet the needs of the communities we serve. Working hours can vary between working within our health centers & working out in the field within our Women’s Health Mobile Unit. This position can work UP to 29 hours per week. Provide women’s health services in the community (Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale counties), including breast exams, Pap smears, LARC insertion/removal, and contraceptive education, for clients unable to access clinic care.
Collaborate with program navigator to identify areas of need and opportunities to deliver services in the community.
Deliver women’s health services in health centers when community-based services are not scheduled.
Operate and drive the mobile clinic vehicle.
Accurately document interventions in accordance with program requirements.
Make follow-up referrals as required by program protocols.
Adhere to program and nursing protocols, program directives, and state mandates.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate or Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as an APRN AND CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish.
Prior experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Knowledge of women’s health needs within the community.
Passion for serving underserved populations and providing preventative care.
