Job Information This is an hourly RN position with the SURGE Clinic.
You may work up to 29 hours per week with a minimum of 24 hours per week.
To be considered, attach a copy of your nursing degree (Bachelors/Associates) transcript, your GA nursing license, and CPR certification.
If operating or driving an outreach vehicle is required, also submit your 3‑year GA MVR.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing support at the SURGE Sexual Health clinic under broad supervision.
Collaborate with STI and HIV Prevention programs and the clinical team (MAs, Lab Techs, NPs, RNs, physicians).
Perform full health assessments for STI and PrEP patients, obtain specimens, phlebotomy, administer treatments under protocol, and provide prevention education.
Assist with clinical care at community events during nights and weekends with Prevention team staff.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
CPR certification.
No prior experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Public Health.
At least one year as a Registered Nurse.
Experience in an infectious disease clinic or with STIs/HIV.
Experience performing HIV/STD prevention outreach activities or counseling.
Experience with PrEP.
