What we do We are seeking a Senior Director of Corporate Development to play a leading role in shaping The Trade Desk’s growth through mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and investments. This role will report directly to the head of corporate development and work closely with the senior leadership team to identify, evaluate, and execute inorganic growth opportunities that align with the company’s strategic vision.

What you’ll do

Strategy & Pipeline Development

Partner with executive leadership to define and prioritize inorganic growth areas

Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of acquisition and partnership opportunities

Transaction Execution

Lead deal evaluation, due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analysis

Drive deal structuring and negotiations in collaboration with finance, legal, and business stakeholders

Prepare investment memos and presentations for the executive team and Board of Directors

Partnership Development

Collaborate with product and business development leaders to structure and advance strategic partnerships

Ensure alignment between corporate development initiatives and business unit priorities

Integration Leadership

Partner with functional leaders to design Day 1 and Day 100 integration plans

Lead cross‑functional integration efforts to ensure value realization and cultural alignment

Team Building & Leadership

Build and help manage a lean, high‑performing corporate development team

Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, results‑driven culture

Who you are

12+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital

Undergraduate or Graduate degree – MBA preferred

Experience in leading M&A transactions, Investments, and strategic partnerships – proven track record

Team player, pro‑active and action oriented, anticipates needs, is assertive, and highly accountable

Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels and teams across the organization

Deep expertise in valuation, financial modeling, and deal structuring

Strong knowledge of the technology and/or digital media ecosystem; adtech experience a plus

Exceptional executive presence and ability to influence at the C‑suite and Board level

Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills and judgment

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, entrepreneurial environment

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only : In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock‑based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales‑based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well‑being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full‑time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is

$182,800 — $335,200 USD
