Responsibilities
Develop and execute enterprise-wide pricing strategies to optimize revenue, market share, and profitability while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Oversee the analysis and creation of contracts with health systems, IDNs, GPOs, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, and payers.
Lead cross-functional governance for pricing and contracting decisions, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Develop the structure of the US pricing committee and actively participate in the ex-US global pricing committee.
Establish and manage standardized contracting processes, SOPs, and approval workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Direct the analysis of market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer segments to inform pricing and contracting strategies.
Ensure accurate and timely calculation, tracking, and reporting of pricing, rebates, chargebacks, government pricing, state pricing transparency laws and other contractual obligations.
Ensure all pricing and contracting activities comply with federal and state regulations (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicaid Best Price, Sunshine Act).
Partner with Legal and Compliance to proactively address risk areas and maintain audit readiness.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide strategic guidance and professional development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, with significant expertise in pricing, contracting, and market access.
Demonstrated success leading complex contract negotiations and developing pricing strategies in a regulated environment.
Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare reimbursement systems, market access channels, and applicable compliance regulations.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
