What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Holistically own and lead major workstreams within the team from project inception to quality launches
Influence the direction and roadmap of the team by combining technical vision with product sense
Produce high-quality technical artifacts such as design documents and runbooks
Contribute high-quality code and assist in code reviews for team members
Mentor other engineers and identify areas for improving team effectiveness
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
5+ years of experience in software engineering
Strong ownership mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit to achieve results
Expertise in one or more backend languages (e.g., Ruby, Java, Python)
Strong analytical, debugging skills, and attention to detail in coding implementation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Expertise in Ruby with a solid understanding of Rails
Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog
Prior work experience in the B2B and/or e-commerce space
