Department Information The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is California’s fire department and resource management agency. The mission is to serve and safeguard the people and protect property and resources of California.
Job Description and Duties Responsibilities include leading battalion-level emergency response, managing firefighting operations, personnel oversight, and maintaining readiness and training. The incumbent will coordinate with Division Chief Josh Bennett and additional staffing to ensure operational effectiveness.
Special Requirements
Medical clearance required prior to hire and annual medical clearance for respiratory protection equipment (SCBA).
Valid driver’s license class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles required.
