Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Reimbursement and Division Vice President in ensuring compliance with Federal and State reimbursement rules
Prepare and coordinate annual Medicare Cost Report Filing for assigned hospitals
Provide hospital reimbursement consulting services to corporate business office and regional finance staff
Support activities for hospital assessment and supplemental payments programs operated by states
Coordinate and complete all required Medicaid, County, or regulatory cost reports for behavioral health division
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5-8 years of experience with cost reporting applications for behavioral health facility Medicare/Medicaid/Special State & County costs reports
Advanced knowledge of Medicare Psychiatric Prospective Payment System and working knowledge of Medicare acute care inpatient DRG system
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Medicaid and special State & County reimbursement systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost report software programs
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Viewpoint and Med Series 4 systems
Working knowledge of health care accounting and finance concepts
