Senior Network Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA (onsite)

Client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer (Sr NE) to implement and provide support to the agency's IT Network infrastructure. The Sr NE performs day-to-day activities related to the support, documentation, research, analysis, and implementation of client Network related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Considerable knowledge and working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers (including the ability to document, set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot)
Be capable of troubleshooting Network related infrastructure.
Identifies and diagnoses system problems by using line monitors, diagnostic software, test equipment.
Works closely with agency's IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to gather requirements, specifications, and configurations to assure they are accurate and up to date.
Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
Assist in overseeing the installation, documentation, and upgrades of various agency facility data network infrastructure.
Will oversee and collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.
Must have the ability to provide documentation, network architecture topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls when required.
Must have the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
Qualifications
Must have minimally obtained an industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA- Junos, etc.)
