We are looking for an Accounting Manager to primarily support a portfolio of commercial real estate investment entities. The role requires leadership ability, full‑cycle accounting expertise, and a commitment to developing our accounting team. Responsibilities
Review general ledger entries to ensure accurate recording of business transactions in compliance with accounting standards. Review general ledger account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy, resolving open items promptly. Apply U.S. GAAP and interpret complex financial guidance. Prepare and review cash flow distribution models aligned with legal documentation terms. Approve disbursements, ensuring proper documentation and policy alignment. Analyze legal documents related to real estate transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment. Analyze repurchase transactions and prepayments to assess cash flow timing and waterfall priority. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate operations and resolve inquiries. Develop and implement process improvements for accounting workflows and documentation standards. Supervise, train, and mentor accountants, serving as the primary technical contact. Support external audits and tax return preparation conducted by third‑party accounting firms. Assist in preparing management reports, investor communications, and ad hoc financial analyses. Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1–2 years of managerial experience with a proven track record of team leadership and development. Public accounting experience and CPA certification are preferred; candidates without a public accounting background or license will be considered based on experience and technical expertise. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong mathematical aptitude and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Highly analytical and proactive in identifying and resolving exceptions; skilled in interpreting complex financial data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast‑paced environment; flexible to work extended hours when necessary.
