Oversee the accounting function for multiple real estate investment entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP Review journal entries, reconciliations, and disbursements for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation Prepare and review cash flow distribution models, confirming alignment with deal structures and legal agreements Interpret and analyze legal documents to determine the correct accounting treatment and ensure all investor and stakeholder deliverables are met on time Evaluate transactions such as repurchases and prepayments to assess their impact on cash flow timing and waterfall priorities Collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to support smooth operations and resolve accounting inquiries Identify and implement process improvements that enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy Supervise, train, and mentor a small accounting team while serving as a technical resource for complex accounting matters Support annual audits, tax filings, and management reporting, along with assisting on special projects and ad hoc financial analyses Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred Active CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred 4–7 years of progressive experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a mix of both At least 1 year of managerial, supervisory experience Prior experience in financial services or real estate industries preferred Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research
