Overnight Lot Auditor — Commercial Parking Operations – Reports to: Commercial Parking Manager – Schedule: Full Time (10 pm–7 am) – Status: Non‑Exempt – Compensation: $17.50 per hour (rates vary by market)
Position Summary Detail‑oriented Overnight Lot Auditor responsible for conducting audits, directing vehicles, ensuring safety, and maintaining an organized, welcoming environment. Works independently, manages data, performs security checks, and provides excellent customer service while working outdoors in various conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive audits of parking lot operations, including vehicle counts, ticketing, and financial records. Reconcile discrepancies between physical vehicle counts and digital or paper logs to ensure accuracy.
Monitor vehicle entry and exit throughout the shift, ensuring accurate logging and ticket matching. Use security systems to track movements at parking lot entrances and exits, reporting unauthorized vehicles, improper parking, or other irregularities.
Complete shift reports detailing tickets issued, revenue collected, and operational data. Maintain logs of vehicle arrivals and parking operations.
Conduct regular parking lot inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed, including proper markings, lighting, and security cameras. Respond to security concerns and monitor for unauthorized vehicles.
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the parking lot by ensuring all equipment, parking spaces, and safety items such as cones, signs, and barriers are in good condition and free of debris or hazards.
Provide exceptional guest service through professional communication, active listening, and personalized assistance, creating a welcoming and memorable experience that aligns with company standards.
Maintain regular attendance, adhere to company policies, and uphold PMC standards for safe and efficient parking operations.
Support evolving business needs by completing other tasks as assigned, attending required meetings and training, and maintaining schedule flexibility.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Customer service experience preferred; a positive, helpful attitude is a must.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Clean motor vehicle record (no more than three moving violations in the past three years) required.
Pass and maintain a clean background check with no disqualifying history.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for long periods.
Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, in all types of weather.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow uniform and grooming standards.
Schedule flexibility is important—nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Customer Service and Communication
Strong communication skills, including active listening and a polite, professional tone.
Ability to handle guest interactions with care, patience, and attention to detail.
Team‑oriented and able to collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
Technology Use
May need to use a personal cell phone for work‑related communications or to access mobile apps.
