Position Overview
The Corporate Development Manager supports enterprise-wide growth through mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and portfolio optimization. This role provides the analytical foundation and strategic insight necessary to drive critical investment and expansion decisions across BWXT’s defense, nuclear, and advanced energy businesses.

Your Day to Day as a Corporate Development Manager
Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of enterprise-level growth initiatives aligned with BWXT’s strategic objectives.
Conduct market and competitive analyses across defense, nuclear, and advanced technology sectors to identify trends, disruptors, and acquisition targets.
Partner with business unit leaders to assess strategic fit and long‑term value creation potential.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Lead detailed financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analyses for prospective acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
Support all phases of M&A transactions, including target screening, due diligence coordination, transaction structuring, and integration planning.
Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, and Engineering to evaluate synergies and ensure alignment with BWXT’s operational and compliance standards.
Develop complex valuation models using DCF, precedent transaction, and comparable company methodologies.
Prepare financial forecasts, synergy estimates, and return‑on‑investment analyses for executive review.
Provide data‑driven recommendations and financial insights to support capital allocation and investment decisions.
Enterprise Collaboration
Serve as a central resource supporting both corporate and business unit leadership in strategic growth planning.
Facilitate alignment between Corporate Development, Strategy, and Finance functions on enterprise‑level priorities.
Maintain a deep understanding of BWXT’s markets, technologies, and program portfolio to ensure strategic coherence across the enterprise.
Executive Reporting & Communication
Prepare high‑quality presentations, investment memoranda, and strategic briefings for the CEO, CFO, CSO, and Board of Directors.
Communicate complex financial and market insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner for executive audiences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
10 years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate development, consulting or general management roles.
Expert‑level financial modeling and valuation capability.
Deep understanding of corporate finance, strategic planning, and transaction structuring.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
Strong communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industrials, manufacturing, government contracting, or nuclear sectors.

Pay: $85,000–$134,000
