Post-Doctoral Research Scholar - Sodhi Lab
New River Community College, Chicago, Illinois, United States, 60290
Overview
The Sodhi Lab at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for Postdoctoral Research positions on newly funded projects investigating the molecular basis of stress-related cognitive dysfunction. We are looking for motivated, creative, and collaborative Scientists interested in cutting-edge research at the intersection of Epitranscriptomics, Stress Neurobiology, and Translational Neuroscience. Our NIH-funded studies use a reverse translational approach, moving from discoveries in human postmortem brain to experimental models in mice. Recent work from our Lab identified disrupted RNA editing as a novel mechanism underlying several neuropsychiatric disorders. Current projects explore how prenatal stress affects RNA editing, glutamate signaling, neuronal morphology, and behavior in a sex-dependent manner—ultimately aiming to identify new therapeutic targets for cognitive and mood disorders.
