Summary The Human Resource Generalist will understand the workforce needs of Stored Energy Systems, work with the recruiting function to ensure hiring needs are met, handle employee relations issues, terminations and off‑boarding, support the performance management process, work with HR administration to assure that pay, benefits, and leave administration are handled, and assist with training assessment and execution for the company. In addition, the Human Resource Generalist will inform and enforce company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non‑mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti‑harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Assist with new‑hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Perform routine tasks in partnership with HR administration required to execute human resource programs including payroll, compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
Handle employment‑related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
At least three years of human resources experience, with at least one year of experience in a Human Resource specialization (recruiting, compensation, benefits, HRIS).
Experience in payroll is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related systems.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Employee Relations, Employment Law, and Leave of Absence.
SHRM-CP, PRH or SPHR is a plus.
Location This position is located in our Longmont, CO office. The position will be required to be on‑site until fully trained and then may be allowed to work a hybrid schedule.
Base Compensation $70,000 - $80,000 projected compensation range for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
Closing Date November 28th, 2025. While we expect to keep the position open through this date, the posting may be extended or closed early based on applicant volume and hiring needs.
