Director of Capture Management, Government Services - 17764

Location The desire is for the Director, Capture Management, Government Services to reside in Wood Dale IL. Accommodations could be made to facilitate virtual performance of duties. Individuals must have reasonable access to a major airport and must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Summary Responsible for developing and growing the annual operating plan and long-range strategic capture plans to ensure that AAR remains competitive in the market. This position is responsible for identifying and qualifying specific new business development targets, developing win strategies, developing customer and competition intelligence assessments. This person coordinates closely with operations and functional leaders, business development and proposal management support to deliver compliant and compelling proposal with a high PWin.

Responsibilities

Manages an individual sales pipeline to include: identifying, qualifying, bidding and winning new business opportunities to meet annual bookings requirements

Interfaces with potential customers to discuss requirements, schedules and capabilities and with industry personnel to develop teaming and/or partnering relationships to support business needs and maximize business performance

Conducts Business Development Gate Briefings

Assure AAR's competitiveness in the Government and Defense aviation and logistics markets.

Liaise to keep AAR ahead of industry trends

Work to procure new business and work to exceed current customer's needs.

Promote the mission, vision, and values that AAR has developed

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university; or degree in process with significant US Military aviation experience.

Minimum of eight years of international and/or Federal business experience in the US Defense aviation industry, can be in conjunction with Military aviation experience

Current and active US SECRET Clearance is preferred

In-depth computer knowledge (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, MS Project, CRM, CMM).

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize requirements and present business cases for action/corporate response in a clear, concise, focused manner.

Experience with Program Management and Operations in support of large federal programs

Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and development and maintenance of relationships both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and/or lead teams to success

Deep knowledge of USG and FMS program/contracting processes and acquisition/sustainment strategies.

Demonstrated record pursuing and capturing $100M+ jobs

Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $144,231 to $204,117 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
