Administrative Assistant

Location: Highland Park, IL (suburban Chicago office)

Employment type: Full-time

Seniority level: Entry level

Compensation: Competitive salary + 401k plan.

Responsibilities

  • Support CEO, COO, and senior manager with day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized filing process for product development procedures.
  • Pack samples and ensure packages are picked up by FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.
  • Organize and order shipping supplies (boxes, bubble wrap).
  • Keep office organized and maintain a neat and clean environment.
  • Interact and work with all departments within the company.
  • Input, create, and interpret data obtained from market research/surveys to produce results useful in making effective business decisions.
  • Contact potential customers through emails, telephone, etc.
  • Establish good working relationships and rapport with clients.
  • Research new product ideation and competitive information.
  • Use Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1–5 years experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and computer‑literate (Excel, Outlook).
  • Self‑starter with the ability to take projects from inception to final execution with little supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
