This is a 100% in-office role based at our Schaumburg, IL location. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours. Position Overview

Responsible for supervising the daily activities in the print center and directing the work assigned to the Distribution Assistants. Also responsible for partnering with the Distribution Manager to ensure the safety, quality, performance, and overall experience of meeting clients’ distribution needs. Provides input and supports the performance review process. This position will serve as a backup for essential Distribution Manager responsibilities. Location:

Manager Distribution Primary Responsibilities

Supervise the work of the assigned group on a day-to-day basis, including delegation of work assignments to various team members. Coordinate all training assignments for the Distribution Assistant role(s), and work with the Distribution Manager to develop and implement changes to the department's Standard Operating Procedures. Open and close responsibilities for the print center as assigned. Approve or adjust Distribution Assistant’s timecards and approve time off requests. Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to develop team members for career progression; conduct regular 1-1 meetings. Provide input and recommendations to the Distribution Manager in performance management and promotional opportunities. Facilitate team huddles and work with the Distribution Manager to set expectations and team goals. Collaborate with the Support team to ensure timely payroll delivery; monitor payroll through delivery and follow up on delivery issues with shipping vendors and internal teams. Effectively communicate with internal departments when handling client issues related to production defects, escalations, delivery issues, or same-day payrolls. Assign nightly audit and sign off for accuracy; take corrective action on identifiable issues and send tracking files in a timely manner. Maintain communication with shipping couriers as needed. Respond to CRM inquiries (via Salesforce) for quality defects, tracking queries, and delivery issues; remediate issues and follow up to determine root cause. Develop and share best practices with peers across Distribution print centers. Resolve client/departmental issues by evaluating the best course of action for customer deliverables, resources, technical, and equipment issues. Assist with tracking metrics related to quality errors and internal errors for the distribution location. Assist the Distribution Manager with SOC audit processes, ensuring accuracy and proper data storage; assist with ordering critical supplies and maintaining inventory levels. Ensure Paylocity’s best interests are represented in interactions with vendors or suppliers. Assist the Distribution Manager with planning and implementing all quarter-end and year-end responsibilities. Available to receive and respond to Pager Duty notifications as backup to the Distribution Manager and partner with the Business Resilience team on mitigation steps. Flexible to meet business needs, especially during Peak shipping (Monday-Wednesday) and Year End (December-February). PTO requests are limited during this time. Education And Experience

High school or equivalent diploma. Previous experience supervising a team of hourly employees preferred. 2+ years experience in a production environment. Experience in conflict resolution and team building and development. Ability to motivate, coach, and lead in a team environment driving for desired results. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a high-volume environment. Salesforce experience highly desired. Preferred

Associates or bachelor's degree preferred. Experience managing suppliers and critical production equipment. Familiarity with payroll processing applications, Microsoft Office, and Shipping Software. Industry experience in digital print, logistics, and fulfillment of payroll production, in a tightly controlled, audited environment, is preferred. Experience with process improvement, kaizens, or six sigma initiatives is a plus. Physical Requirements

Mobility is required to stand for long periods, sitting, walking, and bending. Ability to regularly lift, hold and carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Ability to sit for extended periods: typically 7-8 hours a day at a desk or workstation.
