Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) is seeking a Program Manager for the Residential Program (Brandt Retreat) Department within UBHC. The program provides administrative and clinical oversight of residential programs in Newark, Middlesex, and Camden counties, with supervision of program staff. The position ensures program viability and compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
Direct the administrative and clinical organization of the program, as observed in team meetings, daily schedule, and quality of the program. Plan, train, and supervise the work of others engaged in professional and paraprofessional delivery of program-specific services. Counsel a caseload of consumers/patients and/or families with empathy and concern, as monitored by feedback from consumers/patients, family members, peers, and supervisory observations. Complete all documentation within prescribed time frames as monitored by documentation reports, supervisory tools, and chart review. Demonstrate knowledge of professional standards and practices in the field of mental health and rehabilitative services. Complete Employee Health Update as required. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field and five (5) years of postgraduate experience in mental health services, with two (2) years supervisory/managerial experience. An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of relevant experience. Certifications/Licenses:
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work. Must possess any clinical licensing as required by the discipline. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment is preferred. LCADC is preferred. Position Details
