Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC), established in 1971, offers a full continuum of evidence based behavioral health and addiction services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors throughout New Jersey. UBHC's 1,060 experienced behavioral health professionals and support staff are dedicated to treatment, prevention, and education. UBHC is one of the largest providers of behavioral health care in the country, with a budget of $260 million and 15 sites throughout New Jersey. Services include inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, screening, crisis stabilization, family/caregiver support, community outreach and case management, supportive housing, supported employment, prevention and consultation, employee assistance programs, and a licensed therapeutic school from preschool through high school. Specialty services include the New Jersey suicide prevention helpline and peer help lines for police, veterans, active military, teachers, mothers of special needs children and child protective service workers. In FY2016, UBHC treated 16,199 consumers, had 24,502 admissions, and touched the lives of 19,441 individual callers through peer support. UBHC is the primary mental health training resource for the New Jersey departments of Human Services, Children and Families, and Corrections, delivering 16,000 trainings each year. Position Details

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager for the Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center (CRSC) within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The primary purpose of the Program Manager position for the Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center is to provide administrative and clinical supervision to program staff; and to develop and monitor programs that deliver clinical services consistent with Evidence Based Practices to patients/consumers while assuring program viability and compliance with regulatory requirements. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Directs the administrative and clinical organization of the UBHC Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. Effectively and appropriately delegates responsibility and authority to others. As required by the program, maintains oversight and coordination of research initiatives. As required by the program, monitors workflow for assuring accuracy of all program attendance records and logs. Determines the appropriate course of action in emergency or stressful situations. As required by the program, develops a comprehensive range of services as indicated by unit's ability to accommodate appropriate patient referrals. Plans, trains and supervises the work of others engaged in professional and paraprofessional delivery of program specific services. Monitors staff compliance with all documentation requirements on a consistent basis as monitored by documentation reports, supervisory tools and chart review. Prepares and maintains oversight of medical records for concurrent audits. Demonstrates knowledge of professional standards and practices in the field of mental health and rehabilitative services. Maintains knowledge of trends and development in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills and maintain best practices. Represents the department in the community and speaks before groups on matters related to assignment. Responsibilities & Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

Master's Degree in a related mental health discipline and five (5) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral healthcare setting. Two (2) years supervisory experience. An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of experience. Certifications/Licenses

Applicant must possess a clinical license which allows that individual to independently provide services as a private practitioner (Psychology license, LPC, LCSW, LMFT). Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work. Eligibility for certification as a Psychiatric Screener in the state of New Jersey. Valid driver’s license. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Physical Demands:

The employee spends much time walking, standing and bending throughout the program space while talking with staff and patients/consumers. Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk across program space, communicate and document using computer. Ability to travel throughout the state of NJ. Work Environment:
