Life Skills Manager Overnights

Urban Peak . Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Life Skills Manager-Overnight will be responsible for providing direct supervision of youth at Urban Peak Denver shelter and/or housing programs. This includes assisting youth in increasing self-efficacy and reducing risky behavior, ensuring client safety, delivering appropriate and effective program services, and maintaining a safe and positive environment. Responsibilities include supervision of youth according to facility rules, crisis intervention, facilities maintenance, group facilitation, promoting a therapeutic environment, accurate data collection and entry. The position emphasizes trauma-informed interactions, prioritizing the physical and emotional safety of youth and staff. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, with two (2) years' experience working with high-risk adolescent populations in shelter, residential, or transitional housing settings, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Lived experience with the youth served is encouraged but not required. Ability to connect and work effectively with a diverse, resistant street youth population. Discretion, judgment, boundary-setting, and understanding of issues faced by homeless adolescents, mental health, and substance abuse. Trauma-informed service provision skills. Problem-solving, multi-tasking, organizational skills. Team-oriented with the ability to coordinate across departments. Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles. QMAP certification or eligibility. Ability to be insurable to drive for Urban Peak. Ability to pass background checks and TB screening. Second language skills (Spanish, Vietnamese, ASL) are a plus. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate group activities and discussions. Provide crisis intervention and support youth safety. Ensure shelter cleanliness and supervise youth chores. Maintain a welcoming environment and document services and significant events accurately. What We Offer: Salary: $26.02/hr Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 pm - 7:00 am Comprehensive medical, dental, vision plans, and additional benefits.
