Civil Engineer, PE Civil Engineering & Land Development
Our client — a respected civil engineering firm founded in 2009 and headquartered in suburban Atlanta — is seeking a
licensed Civil Engineer (PE)
with a strong background in
land development
to join their team in a leadership capacity. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to grow their influence, mentor junior staff, and support business development while managing technically complex design projects.
What You’ll Do
Lead civil design projects focused on grading, stormwater, hydrology, and water/sewer infrastructure.
Oversee and mentor a team of younger engineers and designers.
Collaborate closely with clients, municipalities, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Support business development efforts and help drive company growth.
Analyze and interpret survey data, geotechnical reports, and environmental documents to develop effective design strategies.
Prepare technical documentation including grading plans, drainage reports, utility layouts, specifications, and bid packages.
Perform storm drainage and water quality calculations, utility flow analysis, and cost estimating.
Review project progress, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide technical guidance throughout all project phases.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license (Georgia preferred)
Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience, with a strong focus on land development
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring junior engineers
Strong communication and client-facing skills
