Tesla’s Datacenter Engineering team is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in building our Datacenters. Help create and optimize the builds of the future by bringing conceptual designs to life, produce cutting-edge detailed design of HVAC and other utility systems that are fully integrated with our processes. What You’ll Do
Mechanical HVAC design engineering from conceptual design through construction administration Coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure projects are delivered within budget and schedule Research and contribute with innovative and traditional ideas to solve challenging and difficult engineering problems What You’ll Bring
5+ years of experience designing and/or construction of HVAC systems, Datacenter Air Side Systems Knowledge in ductwork, HVAC, and Plumbing design Working knowledge of Liquid Cooling Technologies Working knowledge in the use of following applications Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trane and/or Carrier HAP Familiar with International Energy Conservation, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Codes, NFPA standards, SMACNA duct construction standards, ACGIH Ventilation Practices, and ASHRAE Basic knowledge of Control Systems Basic knowledge of Datacenter Electrical Distribution Willingness to travel to commissioning sites, vendor sites, Datacenter Locations 10-15% of the time Benefits
