Our company designs projects for commercial, tenant finish, healthcare, mission critical, industrial and educational facilities, including corporate and governmental facilities. Mechanical design services include HVAC, building automation, temperature control, hydronics, plumbing, indoor air quality control and humidification control, central energy plant design and energy performance design. We are seeking a highly skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate has a solid background in the construction industry, focusing on MEP systems. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on varied projects ranging from residential buildings to commercial complexes. Responsibilities
Design and oversee the installation of all MEP systems, ensuring safety and performance standards are met. Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine project specifications. Prepare and implement detailed MEP design layouts using CAD software. Conduct detailed MEP system design calculations and simulations. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Coordinate and supervise the work of MEP subcontractors. Ensure MEP installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Troubleshoot issues arising with MEP systems during construction. Conduct quality control checks and inspections on MEP systems. Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team. Prepare and present detailed reports on MEP progress to the project manager and stakeholders. Education/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on MEP systems. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for MEP design. Strong understanding of all aspects of MEP design, installation, and maintenance. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex MEP issues. Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to MEP systems. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Interested in hearing more?
