Primary Purpose Testing and Commissioning engineers commission, maintain, and troubleshoot transmission and distribution level protection and control systems inside ComEd substations. They perform field testing and commissioning engineering activities, troubleshoot and repair existing equipment, and provide leadership and technical expertise to substation maintenance and contractor crews. Primary Duties Conduct Corrective Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and project installation testing activities on power equipment. Provide technical expertise and support to various ComEd departments, including Central T&S Engineering, Work Management, and Operations. Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a technical field and 0-3 years of technical experience, an associate's degree and 2-5 years of technical experience, or 5-7 years of technical experience or relevant education. Successful completion of the TECH Test. Good knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform assignments. Positions require the ability to read blueprints and schematics and use basic test instruments. Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Valid driver's license. Requires frequent travel to various company substations or other locations within the service territory. Must be available to work shifts and respond to emergency situations. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Technical experience related to electrical power equipment. Electrical troubleshooting experience. Benefits
Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $78,400.00/Yr. – $107,800.00/Yr.
