Primary Responsibilities for the Engineer II - Electrical
Provide input into the purchase, modification, and improvement of equipment.
Represent the Electrical discipline on cross-functional project teams by writing purchase orders or non-stocks; responsible for managing cost, schedule, and performance for the discipline-specific project subset.
Complete standard engineering and design work related to the installation and retrofit of equipment.
Provide troubleshooting support for equipment to Maintenance on a day-to-day basis.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications for the Engineer II - Electrical
Three or more years of relevant experience.
Experience troubleshooting power systems in facilities.
Experience in industrial controls wiring and troubleshooting industrial networks.
Support and management experience with electrical technicians, project management, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Working knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, networking, and Level II control systems.
Knowledge of MCCs, low voltage distribution, drive systems, and basic industrial control technology.
Familiarity with governing codes (e.g., IEEE, NEC), CAD, and MS Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions.
Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
Capability to work independently on larger assignments, requiring experience and judgment, under supervision.
Design, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to manage project subsets and coordinate with outside consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Proficiency with CAD (3D capabilities preferred), MS Office, and engineering design software.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college.
