Performs a wide range of preventive, repair, and facilities maintenance tasks on the building, equipment, and grounds to retain the assigned facility in an acceptable state. Skilled trade work includes: carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and heating and air conditioning, as well as locksmith duties. Additional duties include: maintaining/repairing kitchen equipment; assembling items such as furniture; assisting with quarterly technical testing of equipment and inspection of facilities; identifying the need for submission of work order requests; following up on completion of work that is beyond individual capacity; and assuring that the grounds and outside areas surrounding the buildings are maintained in excellent condition. Assists the Facility Manager with the work order system and preventative maintenance program; maintains records and assists with planning and scheduling of all work on buildings, equipment, grounds, and general maintenance tasks. Requires knowledge of policies, procedures, and equipment applicable to the work unit at appointment. Where You'll Work

Three years of recent, progressively responsible maintenance-related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite knowledge and abilities. One year of work experience in the core level of the job family, or any combination of experience or education that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Preferred Licensure: Boiler Operator: WA (BOILER:WA).
