Yamaha Motor Distribution Latin America Inc. (YDLA) Overview

The Inventory Planning Supervisor is responsible for the procurement and order processing functions within YDLA to support the Caribbean and LATAM markets. The incumbent is responsible for parts availability, backorder recovery, delivery precision and inventory. Additional responsibilities include managing purchase orders and managing suppliers to provide on-time product delivery. The role identifies opportunities to optimize efficiencies within the Supply Planning function through data analysis and interaction with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

Manage the overall procurement function for parts and accessories for the LATAM and Caribbean regions. Complete SCM related tasks and activities in alignment with standard operating procedures, owning issues and solving problems in collaboration with other departments to deliver measurable business results. Partner with and leverage internal cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality and prompt customer service in line with customer expectations. Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports; keep management informed of key issues and recommend improvements. Analyze supplier performance, develop and implement improvement strategies, meet departmental KPIs, and recommend process improvements to senior management. Stay abreast of product launches, ensure adequate stock availability of parts and accessories, anticipate shortage concerns and monitor suppliers’ in‑process orders to account for volume changes. Identify and report potential supply‑chain related problems proactively to increase overall efficiency and productivity. Ensure vendor/supplier conformance to YDLA policy and procedures to eliminate any supply interruption. Required Qualifications

BA/BS degree in supply chain, business, or another appropriate field (equivalent combination of education and experience considered). 5 or more years’ experience in Operations, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Logistics in a distribution environment. Strong understanding of multi‑national operations. Excellent customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills (Bi‑Lingual English and Spanish preferred). Proficient in MS Office (Windows OS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with LATAM & Caribbean automotive or motorcycle spare parts industry and logistics is a plus. General knowledge of import process and application of harmonized codes. Strong analytical skills and excellent decision‑making ability to effectively tackle daily issues or challenges. Excellent time‑management skills to meet deadlines. Team player with the ability to collaborate with others. Ability to work independently and manage projects and processes. Ability to partner across multiple levels within the organization and provide consultation. Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of time. Physical Requirements
