Make Your Impact Within a Rapidly Growing Fintech Company
As the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development, you will be a key player in shaping the partnerships that fuel our growth and impact. You will manage existing and help to forge new strategic partnerships, including leveraging BILL’s embedded strategies, expanding our ecosystem, and contributing to our mission of creating a more connected and efficient financial world. Key Areas of Responsibility
Strategic Partner Identification: Identify and cultivate strategic partners to integrate BILL’s growing embedded solution portfolio, including accounts payable & payments platform Partner Management: Manage existing relationships, ensuring success and growth of the partnership Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with R&D, marketing, finance, and other key teams to create joint GTM plans, prioritize features and functionality, and drive deals from discovery to execution Deal Support: Support negotiations, commercial structuring, joint GTM strategy, and execution of partnership agreements to drive business growth and create win-win scenarios. Create internal and external documents to create understanding, generate buy-in and drive impact. Project Management
Drive multiple cross-functional internal and external workstreams from inception to launch. Process Development: Create playbooks and processes to accelerate pipelines & streamline BD & GTM efforts Financial Modeling
Prepare financial analysis to quantify deal costs, risks, benefits and decision making. In later deal stages, steer and/or collaborate with finance team members to perform financial planning exercises and to operationalize models. Leveraging Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and market trends to inform decision-making, refine strategies, and seize new opportunities Relationship Building: Build relationships with partners and key stakeholders to foster a secure cross-functional buy-in and unlock expansion opportunities Ecosystem Expansion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new markets, verticals, and channels for expansion, ensuring that BILL remains at the forefront of industry innovation and the back-office space What we’re looking for
5-7+ years of success in business development, investment banking, or strategic partnerships within fintech, software, technology, or payments. SMB product/payments experience preferred. Experience driving complex strategic partnerships and/or relationships from discovery to launch Bias to Action: A driven self-starter who loves to execute at the highest level, balancing big-picture strategy with attention to detail Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels of an organization Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the fintech landscape, APIs, and emerging market trends that drive innovation Tier 1 Deal Experience: Strong experience supporting complex negotiations, deal structuring, and partnership or legal agreement execution Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Comfortable with Ambiguity: Adept at navigating white space and adapting strategies in a rapidly changing environment What’s in it for you?
