6512 Role & Responsibilities
As a key member of the Owner’s Team, the Planner/Scheduler will serve as the master scheduler responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining the project’s master schedule across all phases—authorization, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. This role requires a proactive communicator who can thrive in a dynamic construction environment, working closely with site contractors and project stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely schedule management. Key Responsibilities
Integrated Scheduling: Act as the master scheduler, integrating and maintaining schedules from the Owner, consultants, and contractors. Disseminate scheduling templates and coordinate inputs to ensure consistent and reliable project schedules. Publish accurate weekly integrated schedules to the Project Team. Analysis, Reporting & Communication: Provide clear and timely updates on project status, proactively identifying early deviations from approved plans. Compare physical job progress against contractor reports and schedule updates. Monitor and communicate scheduling trends, conflicts, risks, and opportunities affecting execution and deliverables. Contribute to weekly and monthly project reports, ensuring alignment with baseline and control schedules. Stakeholder & Site Engagement: Work closely with site contractors to support schedule compliance and accuracy. Assist consultants, contractors, and vendors in establishing and implementing contractual schedule requirements. Support engineering, procurement, and construction teams in planning and sequencing activities. Ensure schedules reflect all known and anticipated constraints, including resource and material availability. Maintain frequent, transparent communication with project stakeholders at all levels. Qualifications / Requirements
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written). Minimum 7 years of experience as a Planner/Scheduler on mining projects. Proven senior-level experience in dynamic construction environments, working directly with site contractors. Degree or diploma in a construction-related field is an asset; candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered. Expertise as a Master Scheduler in Primavera P6; working knowledge of other scheduling software is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong planning, leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Agile, detail-oriented, and highly communicative, with the ability to deliver accurate weekly updates and flag early risks.
