Overview
President & Recruiting Partner at Delivered Talent Group About the role We’re seeking a senior construction leader to steer complex mechanical (HVAC) projects from pursuit and precon through buyout, execution, and closeout. You’ll set strategy, lead teams, and own outcomes—safety, schedule, quality, and margin—while partnering closely with clients, GCs, design partners, and field leadership. Responsibilities
Lead the full project lifecycle: estimate support, budgets/forecasts, schedules, procurement, installation oversight, change management, and closeout. Stand up project admin and documentation to minimize risk: contracts, RFIs, submittals/logs, meeting minutes, QA/QC, and safety coordination. Drive contracting: negotiate, prepare, and execute prime and subcontract agreements; define scope, deliverables, and milestones. Build and maintain the schedule; run turnover/kickoff meetings; ensure permits and licenses are secured and posted. Own procurement and buyout of major equipment and materials; align lead times with schedule and budget targets. Establish and manage the billing schedule of values; maintain healthy cash position; invoice progress and retention and drive timely collections. Price, negotiate, and process changes; protect fee through disciplined cost control and documentation. Plan labor and supervise project teams (PM/PE/field); monitor resource loading, productivity, and crew/equipment utilization. Track financial performance (WIP, cost-to-complete, forecasting) and submit accurate monthly valuations. Review/approve subcontractor and supplier pay apps; manage tools and rentals to avoid idle costs. Lead regular project meetings; communicate proactively with owners, GCs, engineers, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications
15+ years
of progressively responsible experience in mechanical contracting, including leadership of large, schedule-critical projects. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus). Mastery of project financials, cash flow, and claims/changes; strong contract negotiation skills. Proven ability to build high-performing teams and influence across field, prefab, engineering, and client organizations. Working knowledge of BIM/VDC workflows (e.g., Revit/Navisworks) and construction PM/scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Vista/CMiC, MS Project/P6). Clear, confident communicator with a bias for action, safety, and continuous improvement. Why this role
High-impact projects, a collaborative culture, and the autonomy to make decisive calls that move the work forward. A chance to shape delivery methods, mentor future leaders, and leave a lasting mark on complex builds. Employment details
