Overview
A healthcare organization in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services for K-12 students on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role involves assessing and treating speech and language disorders in a school setting with a focus on personalized and collaborative care.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech and language disorders
Design and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy sessions aimed at achieving specific speech and language goals
Track and document patient progress with accuracy
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
Educate and involve families throughout the therapy process
Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Florida
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements
Must hold an active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in Florida
Must possess or be able to obtain a Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
