A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support K-12 students in Palm Desert, CA. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY), providing an opportunity to deliver vital speech and language services within an educational setting. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students with speech and language disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with identified goals Provide targeted therapy sessions addressing speech and language needs Monitor and document student progress carefully to inform ongoing care Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and other specialists, to ensure cohesive support Engage and educate families regarding therapy processes and progress Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting Additional Requirements
Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology for the respective state Completion or pursuit of a Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Compensation and Benefits
