The MRI Technologist ensures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam, reviews exams on PACS for quality and completeness, completes all necessary paperwork, and demonstrates regard for patient safety and comfort. Essential Job Functions
Provides the patient and family with appropriate education to optimize their understanding within scope of responsibility. Assures that a proper order is received prior to an exam and collects pertinent information. Assists the Radiologist/physician with patient exams and notifies them of changes to the patient that may alter exam protocol and performance. Reviews images for quality and completeness. Verifies that all images are on PACS with appropriate paperwork scanned in and distributes exam for interpretation to the appropriate radiologist at completion of exam. Demonstrates regard for patients\' safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization, and positioning of patient. Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers orally or by intravenous injection the correct diagnostic or therapeutic dosage, and completes all required records. Maintains accurate and complete records of all material received, dispensed, decayed and disposed of. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Radiographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date Radiographer | American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) | Within 6 Months of Start Date Magnetic Resonance Imaging | ARRT | Within 24 Months of Start Date Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 Days of Start Date Education
Preferred: Associate degree - Radiologic Technology OR Bachelor’s degree - Radiologic Technology Language Requirements
