Location: Altru Hospital, 1200 South Columbia Road, Grand Forks, ND 58201 Pay Range: $29.19 - $43.79 Hours/Schedule: 40 hours per week, Day shift, one weekend per month. Summary
The CT Technologist ensures a written physician order is received prior to an exam and collects pertinent information. The technologist reviews exams on the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checks for quality and completeness, and completes all necessary paperwork. The technologist demonstrates regard for patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities
Provides the patient and family with appropriate education to optimize understanding within scope of responsibility. Assures a proper order is received prior to an exam and collects pertinent information; assists the Radiologist/physician with patient exams and notifies them of changes to the patient that may alter exam protocol and performance. Reviews images for quality and completeness. Verifies that all images are on PACS with appropriate paperwork scanned in and distributes exam for interpretation to the appropriate radiologist at completion of exam. Demonstrates regard for patients\' safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization, and positioning. Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers the correct diagnostic or therapeutic dosage (orally or IV) and completes all required records. Maintains accurate and complete records of all material received, dispensed, decayed and disposed of. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
