We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Critical Care and Neurology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care in critical care and neurology settings. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and delivering exceptional healthcare services. This position is vital to our organization's commitment to excellence in healthcare staffing and patient care. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in critical care and neurology departments. Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment plans. Assist in procedures and surgeries as needed. Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Requirements:
Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license. Specialization or experience in Critical Care and Neurology. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in electronic health record systems. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Level I trauma Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts. No call shifts. Setting: Neuro ICU. Daily Volume: 10 patients, 5 consults. Patient Population: 100% adult, 40% trauma. Lab and x-ray onsite. Support Staff: Neurointensivists on call, APPs. EMR: Epic. Must be board-certified . Paid travel & expenses.
