New Grad RN Resident - Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital. You will provide patient care, support families and visitors, and participate in the Cleveland Clinic system’s professional development resources, including education and training programs. Responsibilities
Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care in the Emergency Department (ED), from initial patient introduction to final handoff. Interact directly with patients, families and visitors to enhance their experience and provide pertinent healthcare education as needed. Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs. Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care considering acuity, patient preferences and resource availability. Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate actions to correct, reduce or prevent risk. Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently. Document in patients’ medical records. Benefits

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN). Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the AHA within or within one year of hire. Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN). Physical & Safety
Requires full range of body motion including lifting, dexterity, and coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods; corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours; exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium physical effort with objective weight handling expectations. Personal Protective Equipment
