As Manager of Walk to End Alzheimer’s, you will cultivate community and corporate relationships, coach volunteers, and strategically identify and engage leaders to drive event revenue and community participation year over year.
Responsibilities
Build and sustain corporate and community relationships that contribute to event revenue goals, participant growth, and brand awareness.
Recruit, manage, and coach a volunteer committee to implement proven fundraising practices and achieve event goals.
Manage multiple peer‑to‑peer walk events simultaneously and deliver measurable revenue growth.
Create an inclusive, positive team environment that fosters long‑term community relationships.
Achieve designated revenue and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships.
Prospect, cultivate, and steward event teams, sponsors, and participants, using data to drive positive outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals, OR 3–5 years of successful experience meeting sales targets.
Confident, goal‑oriented, positive self‑starter who works independently with limited supervision and collaborates effectively with partners.
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships.
Experience managing large numbers of volunteers at different levels of expertise with diplomacy and sensitivity to diverse communities.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and event budgeting skills.
Ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for committee meetings, walk and wrap‑around events.
Physical ability to lift and transport up to 25 lbs. of materials.
Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media, and experience with, or willingness to learn, Luminate/Convio software.
Employment Details Position: Manager, Walk to End Alzheimer’s (part‑time, 24 hours per week) Location: Redding, CA Grade: 205 – $25.00 per hour Performance‑based incentive up to $13,000 annually. Reports To: Senior Walk Director.
