Key Responsibilities:
Set up sterile field and gather supplies for surgical cases based on knowledge of instruments and equipment to be used. Pass instruments to surgeons during surgical procedures. Perform count procedures per policy during surgical cases. Function under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Requirements:
Licensure, Certification, or Registration for Hire: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C), or Certified Operating Room and Surgical Technician (CORST) preferred. Licensure, Certification, or Registration for Continued Employment: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification. Must achieve CST, TS-C, or CORST certification within 24 months of hire. Experience: 0-2 years of experience as a surgical technologist required. Experience working in an acute care setting as a nursing assistant or aide (if no surgical technologist experience). Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program, military training program, Licensed Practical Nursing Program, or Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (RN Interns Only). Benefits:
