Industrial Construction Site Supervisor
EMSCO, Inc. is the largest service company for the induction melting and heating industries in North America with facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Alabama, and California.
Job Summary Reporting to the Installations Division Manager you will be the point of reference of both site workers and project managers and be a key person in the successful completion of a project. Extensive travel to customer sites is required.
Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects and meet established deadlines
Follow project schedules and monitor attendance of sub-contractors
Allocate general and daily responsibilities
Supervise and train workers and sub-contractors
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
Resolve problems as they arise
Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
Qualifications
A high school diploma/GED plus 5 years’ directly related experience.
Certification and/or apprenticeship in a skilled trade, a plus.
Direct experience in the role of Site Supervisor in an industrial setting
Ability to travel extensively from 3 days up to 6 months with paid home visits available every other weekend.
Must have a valid US issued driver’s license with a good driving record
Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines
Electrical experience required.
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
Aptitude in math
Ability to assume responsibility for day-to-day operations in the field
Effective communication skills
Excellent organizational, team building, and leadership skills
Problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills
Time management skills
