Industrial Construction Site Supervisor
EMSCO, Inc. is the largest service company for the induction melting and heating industries in North America with facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Alabama, and California.
EMSCO Installations, a division of EMSCO Inc., is responsible for installing and relocating large melting and heating equipment at customer sites. Our Industrial Construction Site Supervisors work as part of a team to complete the required civil, electrical, and mechanical requirements to bring the system into operation at industrial sites across the country.
Job Summary Reporting to the Installations Division Manager, you will be the point of reference for both site workers and project managers and a key person in the successful completion of a project. The ideal candidate has a background in the industrial installation or industrial maintenance field. Leadership skills, extensive experience, organization, safety priority, hourly pay, overtime, extensive travel required.
Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet established deadlines
Follow project schedules and monitor attendance of sub-contractors
Allocate general and daily responsibilities
Supervise and train workers and sub-contractors
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Monitor expenditure and keep within budget
Resolve problems as they arise
Report on progress to managers, engineers, etc.
Qualifications
A high school diploma/GED plus 5 years’ directly related experience
Certification and/or apprenticeship in a skilled trade, a plus
Direct experience in the role of Site Supervisor in an industrial setting
Must have a valid US issued driver’s license with a good driving record
Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines
Electrical experience required
Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
Aptitude in math
Effective communication and leadership skills, problem solving, time management
